Week 10 / 11

Week 10 / 11 has been also of designing, which I have enjoyed as a good consistent aesthetic developing. I am happy in the direction the look is going, also Emma and myself are being real productive, turning around plenty of design options. We have started to add some illustrations in our 'sticker' campaign that are looking awesome, adding a personal effect enhancing the empathy.

Week 9

Presentation this week to other groups and 4th Years. We defined our 'big idea' Teaming up with New Zealand businesses to improve the lives of Kiwi kids. We are doing this by creating a social enterprise that will filter all the buy one, give one work for businesses, that would be funded by the government. The sticker idea would be our kick starter for the campaign. In our presentation, we had our journey map and a visual display of the buy one, give one models.

Feedback was good, the main thing being to look at our logo as it looks like 'cake' or 'lake' due to the font when it was made bigger. Other than that we were told we had a great idea, good ways to get the community and businesses involved and we were on the right track.

Exchange, only a couple people turned up to class today. I missed the last exchange so was good to see what everyone had done. We talked about packaging mainly as they were ID students and were at that stage of their project.

Week 8

This week we decided to get our stickers drawn by children, through Massey tutors we organised to give some vector drawings to the kids at Polyhigh to colour in for us. We are also planning on making a pattern out of this for our website background. We also started our journey map and made further development on our website content.

Week 7

This week, through user testing we tested how we could get businesses to our website. We came up with the idea to give out stickers at schools to get a social media hype connected with it. When the children took the electrostatic stickers home, their parents would be influenced to post it on social media with a hashtag or link to our page, also have the chance to go in the draw to win a family prize pack if they nominated a business they thought would be suitable for the model.
I missed exchange this week as I had a presentation for another class at that time.

Week 6

This week we developed our campaign, looking at what it would include. We narrowed it down to a presentation, booklet, website and a visual / journey map.
Targeting small — medium New Zealand businesses, informing them of the buy one, give one model, that it works and how it can help Kiwi Kids.
Our desired action at this point is to inform, prove and involve

Week 5

Today was hand-in for our visual briefs. We set out on desks then walked around to look over all briefs finding one to continue on with. Emma and I decided to continue on in a group doing our same brief, which is focusing on child poverty within New Zealand and creating a campaign to help them by adapting the buy one, give one model.
